Join FRAPA at mipformats: How to resolve your format dispute17 March 2011

The session, organised in partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Arbitration and Mediation Center, offers a behind-the-scenes look at the closed world of format-dispute resolution by acting out a mediation process. The workshop aims to highlight the value of mediation as a cost-effective and damage-limiting alternative to court litigation, which can disrupt schedules, budgets and business relationships.

Promising to be as entertaining and as informative, the interactive workshop features a number of high-profile ‘actors’, including FRAPA co-founder David Lyle, who will host the mock mediation. The cast also includes GRUNDY Light Entertainment’s Jens Bujar and Brigitte Joppich, UK, entertainment lawyer Jonathan Coad, US producer Lincoln Hiatt of Genetic Entertainment and WIPO’s Sarah Theurich.
